I thought that I had arrived too late to get a worthwhile shot of the pier. By the time that I found a good vantage point, the color had faded from the night sky.
Always take the shot. Good things might happen.

My favorite part of this photo is the roller coaster car, rendered as a small, orange blur as it crosses the peak of its ramp.
